Each tour takes between 2.5 and 3 hours, and includes 1.5 - 2 miles of walking.

We typically include 7 stops on each tour, split between savory bites, sweet treats, and occasionally a beverage. However, each tour can vary a little bit, so we guarantee 6-8 stops on each standard tour.

While it's best to check your confirmation email for your tour's official starting location, our most common starting locations are below. The ending location varies by tour, but is usually within a 10 minute walk from where we started. We will be walking in between all stops on the tour (1.5 - 2 miles in total).

Common starting locations:
Morning and Afternoon Tours (10:30 am or 12 pm start): We meet outside Fellini Cucina at 174 7th Ave S - feel free to order a coffee before we get started!
Evening tours (6 pm start): Under the Washington Square Park arch
Private Tours: Starting location varies, please check with your group's Point of Contact

We typically make 6-8 stops per tour and manage the portions to have 2-3 larger bites (e.g. a slice of pizza, half a bagel), 2-3 medium bites (half a pastry, 1 taco), and 1-2 small bites (candy, mini donuts, drink sample)

We've run the tour for people of all ages and sizes, and can guarantee you will be walking away full and satisfied!

We typically do not include drinks on the tour (aside from 1 small drink sample on some tours). We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle, and you are welcome to bring coffee or other drinks with you. There are also 1-2 opportunities per tour to purchase drinks on your own.

No! The beauty of Viral Food Tours is that we avoid the lines for you. At most of our partner stops, we'll check in upon arrival and the team starts preparing our food at that moment to ensure it comes out as fresh as possible. We'll tell you all about the restaurant and what you're about to eat while it's prepared. But you'll never have to wait in a long line!

We take dietary restrictions seriously, and we value being transparent first and foremost.

If you’re vegetarian, vegan, or dairy-free, this tour can comfortably accommodate your restrictions!

If you are gluten-free or have a severe nut allergy, this tour will be trickier for you, and we don’t recommend it. We've had many guests with milder nut allergies join the tour, and are able to accommodate them as long as they are okay consuming food processed in the same facility as other dishes that include nuts.

If you have any other restrictions, we can likely make it work for you! Just send us a message ahead of time to check, or include a message about your allergy/restrictions when you purchase your ticket.

Occasionally, our partner restaurants are closed for the day. While this rarely happens, we have over a dozen amazing "viral food" partners in the West Village and will replace any restaurants that are closed with another amazing stop to ensure you get the best experience possible!

If the forecast is looking quite scary, we'd rather be safe - we can refund or reschedule you, and may occasionally pre-emptively cancel the tour ourselves. If it’s just a little wet outside, we have a tour route that makes sure you don’t get drenched. It’s always good to bring the essentials - sunscreen for warm days, an umbrella for the wet ones.

Kids are welcome to join the tour! You can buy a standard ticket if you'd like for them to enjoy all of the same food as the adults in the group. Otherwise, they're welcome to join at no cost - we'll do our best to share 1-2 small treats with them along the way, and you're welcome to share some of your food samples with them as well! Just let us know in the comments when you book about any children joining who don't have their own tickets.

Most importantly, wear comfortable walking shoes, as we'll walk 1.5 - 2 miles per tour! Aside from that, just check the forecast and make sure you'll be comfortable!

Each ticket includes all food tastings, our "skip-the-line" access to save hours of waiting, and a fun and knowledgeable local tour guide to tell you all about the food and neighborhood!

Gratuities are not included in the price of a ticket. While you're not required to leave a tip, we do encourage you to leave one for your guide if you had a great experience!
